Jason sighed, but it did not help him drop the haunting fact that the
practicals were pretty challenging.
It was a splendid morning to start the day with, clear azure skies, puffy
white clouds, yeah, you name it. He woke up at seven o' clock in the morning to study
with his friend, spicy. The five hours spent was awesome and he wished that it would last longer. But alas, time flies when one enjoy. Soon, the time of the practical was up, he proceeded towards the forbidden lab and basked himself with confidence at first sight. Unfortunately, after opening the paper, it felt like someone inside him died. He froze. Astonished and fascinated at the same time, he flipped the pages only to notice that the practice he had been doing was of no help.
His heart was racing. But that was no reason to give up and so he perservered on to
complete the tedious and brain wrecking task at hand. 'Ah!' he exclaimed, it seemed like he had a newfound problem, he had clipped the resistance wire to the wrong variable resistor. Blood rushed to his head, but he did not let it deter him from trying his best. Fifteen minutes passed and finally, he settled the issues relating to the answer table. Drawing the graph was a cinch. Somehow though, the gradient he
calculated was negative and that made him stand rooted to the ground for a good five minutes. He sighed and trusted his instincts. '-0.0503', he mumbled as he wrote the
values down, carefully making sure he had left it in 3 significant figures.
It was pretty pathetic. Thats what he felt when answering the second last question on calculating the length of the hidden wires. 114cm. Wow, just amazing. What a marvellous answer we have there. Yessir. He had his doubts which were probably right- but ignored it anyhow. Next up, chem. Flunked. 'Good job!'. He awarded himself with
a sarcastic remark. 'How could I even teach people with my standard this low? I probably would just have been better off enclosing myself to my world, just like I had for the past 4 years.' he thought. Perhaps that was a good. He feel like he had
contributed useless knowledge to the world and probably be blamed for that. *Ting*
It was over. He picked the paper up with trembling hands and passed it to the examiner.
After that, he tried to find someone important, but only to find out that she had left for home in a huff. Went over to visit but only to get turned down. Oh well.
The thought came back again. But he quickily shook it off. He gave his apologies and regards to her and left for home.
